The Shell V-Power Autoworld Car of the Year Awards 2011 is organized by Autoworld.com.my to evaluate the merits of vehicles in various categories against each other. Judging is by an 11-person panel led by Chief Judge Mr. YS Khong, editor of Autoworld.com.my, automotive consultant and 5-time Malaysian Rally Champion. Like its predecessor awards held last year, members of the public will also have a say in the eventual outcome of the Shell V-Power Autoworld Car Awards 2011.

The Shell V-Power Autoworld Car Awards represents an expert, independent judgement of newly introduced vehicles in the Malaysian market. Its objective is to acclaim the most outstanding new car to go on sale in each respective category in the past 12 months (Nov 2010 – Oct 2011). In our evaluation process, we have selected to fuel up all nominated cars with Shell V-Power 97 as the fuel provides improved technology for whatever car you drive.

Like its predecessor awards held last year, members of the public will also have a say in the eventual outcome of the Shell V-Power Autoworld Car Awards 2011. First of its kind for an Internet portal, the Shell V-Power Autoworld Car Awards combines scores from on-the-road test drive evaluations done by our panel of judges with results of online voting by Autoworld members to derive the winners for each award category.

Judging criteria includes design, comfort, safety, economy, handling, performance, functionality, environmental requirements, driver satisfaction, price (value for money) as well as each vehicle's technical aspects.
