TC Euro Cars is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tan Chong Motor Holdings Bhd. TCEC had on May 2003 signed a master agreement with Renault SA which includes the rights of marketing and distrubuting Renault cars in Malaysia. This partnership was in line with Renault recent acquisition of a 44.4% stake in Nissan Motor Ltd. Tan Chong Motor Holdings Bhd. is also the sole distributor of Nissan cars in Malaysia since 1958.

TC Euro Cars markets and distributes the Renault lineup through 6 branches nationwide, supported by 33 authorised sales dealers. TC Euro Cars is expected to increase the number of branches and delaers significantly within the next few years.

After sales services is supported by Tan Chong Express Auto Servis which operates a comprehensive network of 20 service centres and 44 authorized workshops across Malaysia.

Tan Chong Motor Holdings Bhd. will invest RM 40 million ringgit to locally assemble Renault cars. This investment will allow commercial productions of completely knocked down (CKD) Renault cars.

This investment constitute the first CKD production for Renault in the ASEAN region. The production facilities is expected to become a hub for export to countries like Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam.

The assembly plant is located in Segambut, Kuala Lumpur, which assembles Renault cars, as well as other makes of cars such as Subaru, Nissan and Mercedes under contract, was awarded the ISO 9002 Certification on quality in manufacturing in 1993, a first in South East Asia.

TC Euro Cars has recently launched the new Renault Scenic this will be followed by the new Renault Kangoo which will be assembled by Tan Chong Motor Holdings Bhd. Moving forward, TC Euro Cars would later introduce other models including Espace, Scenic RX 4 and Megane II.
