Public Invited to Name PERODUA's Latest Product Kuala Lumpur, November 14 - The public is invited to take part in a naming competition for PERODUA's latest compact family car, currently referred to by its project name, X690. The X690, an additional to PERODUA's model line up is a trendy and fashionable super mini which is ideal for city driving will be displayed at the Kuala Lumpur International Motorshow (KLIMS) from November 25 to December 4, 2000. The mini car would be available in the manual and automatic variants. With an engine capacity of 1000cc and equipped with electronic fuel injected 12-valve DOHC engine, the X690 will provide better driving power and fuel efficiency. The car would be easy to manoeuvre and able to seat five persons comfortably. Those who are interested to participate in the 'naming the X690' competition will have the option of viewing the car at the motorshow or by logging on to www.perodua.com.my. Every participant would have to use the origical entry form that can be obtained from PERODUA booth at the motorshow or they could choose to participate through PERODUA's website. To complete the form, participants are also required to fill in a suitable tagline for the X690. The closing date for the competition is scheduled to be on December 4, 2000 by 10.00pm and results will be announced sometime in mid January 2001. PERODUA reserves the rights to accept or reject any entries, change or postpone the closing date at its absolute discretion. The winner for this competition will recieve a unit of the X690. At the KLIMS, PERODUA will also be exhibiting a Kancil rally car, Kembara Trans Borneo, a Kenari limited edition and an aerodown version of the Kenari. Click here to participate!
